We organized activities such as school tours and orientation sessions to help children adapt to their new environment, as well as the "Understanding and Supporting Our Children" training for parents to increase their knowledge of the psychological and cognitive characteristics of 5-year-olds. Children's emotional well-being and social development improved, and the relationships between parents and children were strengthened in this program.
Despite the overall increase in basic education across Mongolia, there are still children at risk of dropping out. To reduce dropout rates, we have worked to improve access to quality education for children who are unable to participate in formal education services, providing support through non-formal education programs. This includes inviting teachers to help develop and implement personalized training plans for these children.
To support the quality of education by enhancing the ethical knowledge and understanding of teachers, we are implementing the Teachers' Capacity Building Program.
The program has been systematically carried out by training teachers at partner schools and providing training sessions led by these trained teachers. As part of this initiative, training modules and manuals were developed and distributed to teachers to enhance their creativity, provide psychological education, and promote gender equality in teaching practices.
We have created spacious and welcoming environments in each Community Development Project office, serving as Community Development Centers. These centers provide a safe space where children and parents from the community can come anytime to engage and interact.
Community Development Centers also function as libraries, learning areas, and spaces for children's and parents' development training and activities, as well as children's club activities, among other uses. With this space, we are also helping parents develop positive productivity, improve their quality of life, and enhance family interactions. As a result, children's development, life skills, and creativity have been significantly improved.
We implement scholarship programs to help children who face economic or life challenges but, like anyone else, have a strong desire to learn and grow. Under the "GN-Generation 2023" scholarship program, 110 students were supported in becoming skilled workers and compassionate citizens in the future. Voluntary work based on the CDP is being carried out as a comprehensive program.
This includes participation in community-oriented activities, such as identifying specific issues in the social sector, collaborating with other children to develop and approve micro-projects, and implementing them.
