Child Protection

We have involved 11,679 children in the Sponsorship program and provided service for 131,174 sponsored children. We work to promote and protect the rights of children and help vulnerable communities stand up by implementing projects inclusively and sustainably in the areas of education, protection, health care, and income generation.

Education

Good Neighbors Mongolia implemented a wide range of educational projects to increase opportunities for universal education, to improve the quality of education, and to raise awareness of the right to education. We also provided educational services to 34,596 people from local communities through building libraries, holding after school classes, and daycare centers.

Health

Good Neighbors Mongolia performs health projects that enhance the accessibility and quality of health services offered to the local community, intending to bring healthier lives for children and members of the community. We provided medical check-ups, medical supplies, nutritious meals, and health education to 278,940 people.

Income generation

To improve the competitive advantages of products and services, Good Neighbors carried out market researches and provided technological training. We assisted 285 members of 17 cooperatives in 6 CDPs to run agricultural and other small businesses. Also, TOD-ILCH partnership in Mongolia launched it’s cashmere products in 2017 under the MerryCoop brand in Korea to improve product competitiveness and to diversify sales channels to help the partnership become widely known.

Water sanitation

Good Neighbors Mongolia increased access to safe drinking water to enhance health and quality of life for children and communities by building water well and wash facilities. In addition, we educate children and their families on drinking water and sanitation practices so that they can have a better understanding of personal and public hygiene.

Advocacy

Good Neighbors Mongolia conducted educational programs on children's rights, variety of awareness-building campaigns and presented policy recommendations to build a better society where children's rights are fully protected. We organized ‘Child Right Clubs with 1,153 members from 30 schools, aiming to help children fully understand their rights and have a platform where they can raise their voices.

Partnership & Network

Throughout its work, Good Neighbors collaborates with individuals, enterprises, governments, and international organizations across the world. These partnerships allow us to create positive change toward a better world with the neighborhood of the community. Good Neighbors Mongolia is working with 7 Community Development Committees and they are involved in various community development activities. Also, they work closely with all relevant departments and partners to broadly respond to the need of the community.
